Stafford Glen Chenery, Ph.D.
Director, Radiological Physics—The CyberKnife at NDC

Dr. Stafford Chenery joined Newport Diagnostic Center in 1994. In addition to serving as Director of Radiological Physics, Dr. Chenery is an integral part of NDC's highly specialized CyberKnife® team.

The CyberKnife offers a non-invasive option for treatment of tumors and other conditions affecting the brain, head, neck and cervico-thoracic spine. Image-guided technology allows the CyberKnife to deliver a precise dose of radiation to a tumor while minimizing radiation to surrounding healthy tissue.

Dr. Chenery's impressive background in radiation oncology includes positions at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, Canada and at McGill University.

After moving to the United States, Dr. Chenery served as Director of Radiological Physics at Radiological Associates of Sacramento Medical Group.

His over 25 years in the field have established Dr. Chenery as an internationally recognized expert in radiation oncology physics. He has presented his research findings in numerous lectures and papers and has been published in such specialized journals as the Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology Physics and Radiology. He has studied the CyberKnife since it was in prototype stage and has been invited to speak about this revolutionary radiation device at cancer centers and to medical societies in France, Australia and across the United States.

Dr. Chenery is currently a member of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine and the California Medical Physics Society.

He resides in San Juan Capistrano, California.
