Louis M. Teresi, M.D., D.A.B.R., is a board-certified and fellowship-trained diagnostic radiologist specializing in neuroradiology and musculoskeletal imaging.
Dr. Teresi brings over fifteen years of leadership and experience from Long Beach Memorial Hospital and Imaging Center where he served as Director of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and as Chief of Neuroradiology at Memorial Care Imaging Center. Dr. Teresi has also served as an instructor for the MRI Fellowship Program for twelve years and brings extensive clinical and academic background to Newport Diagnostic Center.
Dr. Teresi earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts. He graduated with the highest honors in biology and is a Phi Beta Kappa member. Upon completing his undergraduate work, Dr. Teresi attended Harvard Medical School earning a degree in medicine with an emphasis in neurosciences. He served his internship at Mount Auburn Hospital / Harvard Medical School and later completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Teresi has also completed fellowships in neuroradiology and endovascular therapy at UCLA Medical Center, MRI at Long Beach Memorial with Dr. William Bradley, Ph.D. and musculoskeletal imaging at UCSD Medical Centers with Dr. Donald Resnick. Dr. Teresi is a Senior Member of the American Society of Neuroradiology and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology by the American Board of Radiology.
Dr. Teresi has published more than 30 peer reviewed articles and has authored numerous book chapters, invited articles and abstracts in the fields of neuroradiology and musculoskeletal imaging. He is the sole author of the book “A Practicing Radiologist’s Guide to Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy.” Dr. Teresi has presented more than 100 scientific exhibits in both foreign and domestic venues, winning 17 awards for his work.
Dr. Teresi is a member of the International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, the Los Angeles Radiological Society, the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society and the American Society of Spinal Radiology.
He resides in Irvine, California with his wife and three children.
